76.6% attendance is not that good. Last year we had 79% attendance for term 2. The 3% difference doesn’t sound much but it equates to 416 days less.

Term 2 is, however, usually our lowest attendance term because the weather is usually wet and cold and there is more flu or illness around.

At the end of term we added an individual attendance graph to every school report. The chart looked like this and hopefully woke up some of our parents up to exactly how much their children were missing school.
