Principal’s AwardThis fortnight the recipient of the Principal’s Award for bravery is Shakura Lowry-Neho from Tumanako.

Bike Track Opening

The Bike Track blessing and official opening is planned for tomorrow at 11.30am. Everyone is welcome.

On this day we will also unveil the beautiful murals that were created by Mrs Jarvis and Mrs Shields Club group.

There are very few $8 hangi left to purchase and only about 40 $5 hangi left.

Orders can be .made at the school office. The hangi will be ready at 12.30pm and delivered to classes. Be sure to have paid for your hangi by 9am Thursday otherwise it will sold to someone else. We only have $5 hangi left for sale now.

 

Term Dates for 2014

Term 1 – Wednesday 29th January to Thursday 17th April

Mid Term Break – Monday 25th February for East School only

Term 2 – Monday 5th May to Friday 4th July

Term 3 – Monday 21st July to Friday 26th September

Term 4 – Monday 13th October to Friday 12th December

 

Talent Quest

On Tuesday 10th December we are planning to hold a Kaikohe East School Talent Quest in our school hall. All children will be able to audition and practise their items in their classrooms. Teachers will select 1-3 acts/performers from each class to participate on this day.

 

Transition for Year 6

There will be two transition days held this term on Tuesday 12th and Wednesday 13th November. All Year 6 children unless we are told otherwise by Whanau will go up to the Kaikohe Intermediate and be involved in two days work.

We are trying to keep children in Junior/Senior Syndicate classes with the same teacher for 2 years but if Whanau wish to opt for a change every year feel free to get in touch.
