Welcome

Welcome to our new tamariki and their whānau: Sharn Green, Wijay Rakete.

Whānau Survey 2018

During the holidays teachers looked closely at the collated Whānau Survey comments. We were very pleased and appreciated reading the positive comments.

We want to show whānau that we have thought about your ideas in terms of improvements we can make. So this week we are replying (in blue) to comments on the following from whānau to share what we do and what we can do about the query shared.

Whānau Query: What is happening in classrooms?

Our response:

ERO Visit

We look forward to the Education Review Office reviewers visiting our school after the Queen’s Birthday weekend. A team of 2 reviewers – Kim Hughes and Terry Rodgers will be welcomed to our school on Tuesday 5th June and are likely to be in our school for the week. The reviewers will be in classrooms, talking with children, staff and whānau, looking at children’s work, teachers planning, school policy and programmes. We are looking forward to sharing what we do with the reviewers.

Transition Days for Year 6

iMoko Information

Starting from this term we are able to do iMoko assessments with the children. Before we can do assessments, we will need the parent to consent.

Because this is a new health system, we are unable to utilise/convert the RF consent forms we currently have for the Throat Swabbing program to utilise for iMoko, all children must have an "iMoko Consent" form. However if the parent does not want their child to partake in the iMoko program and still want our team to throat swab their child under the RF program, this can still happen until further notice, which they would need to fill out the "RF Consent" form, both forms will be sent home today along with an iMoko Summary.
