The Week Gone By

Thanks to all our whānau that are sending their children back to school.  Our school roll is increasing as the days go by and the staff and tamariki attending are continuing to “mahi hard”.  Here is some of the great learning going on in some of our classes.

Queen’s Birthday Weekend

This Monday, 1st June, school will be closed for Queen’s Birthday.

Welcome A very special and warm welcome to our following new tamariki and their whānau who started this week!

Coby-Rei Busby, Quinita and Calais Leaf, Cadel Thompson, Rangatira Wihongi and Shaylin Mau-Collins.

Room 3 had a shapes hunt around the playground.

They also made cards for our essential workers and created some beautiful art for the Mainfreight Calendar competition.

Look at the amazing hard mahi and creativity Room 9 have been working on!  “Thank you” activities for our essential workers, shape robots and bubble art.

All the way over in Room 13, Aniwaniwa are having so much fun making bubbles “Pop!”.

Last Wednesday Room 14 were feeling very tired from getting used to being back at school.  We made some chicken soup and watched a movie.

This week we are more used to being back at school.

We used our digital skills to create an image about what we did when we were in our bubbles at home.  We learned the difference between a png file and a jpeg file to create our work. Check out Nimisha’s cool work!

Room 15 have been taking a look around our garden and orchard partaking of the fruits,

Room 4 has been creating sharks that eat shapes.

Rangimārie and Room 12 have been super busy!  From scavenger hunts to art work and so much more in between!
