School Uniform 2015

We will be expecting all children in school uniform by the beginning of next year so come and see Kohi at the office about part time payments or purchase now!

School Polo shirts are $35 and you will receive a free pair of black pants while stocks last.

 

School Photos

Our school photo day was today, Whānau who made orders can expect photos returned by the end of the term.

 

Kids Can Dress Up DayWhat an awesome day we had on Friday, we raised approximately $300 for Kids Can!

 

Kai at school

All Whanau please remember that we have plenty of yummy kai at school we are more than happy to give your child/children throughout the day. Please do not think that because you don’t have kai for breakfast or lunch that you need to keep your child/children at home. Send them school, we have Weetabix, milk, bread etc for toast and lots of snack foods!

 

Breakfast ClubThanks to Kaikohe New World for giving us eggs each week for our Breakfast Club.  Each Friday we will use the eggs for a hot cooked breakfast. All are welcome to join us on any day for breakfast in the school hall.

 

Ohaeawai Cross Country

We were so proud of our children who represented us at the recent local schools Cross Country held at Ohaeawai School.

 

Whānau Hui

All teachers will be available to meet with whānau to discuss their child/children’s progress to date from 3pm on Thursday 18th September.

At 2.10pm in the school hall there will be performances by our groups representing us at the Cultural Festival, come along listen to our talented performers then meet with your child’s teacher. 

Teachers will be available to meet with whānau from 3-5.30pm on this day. If you require a specific time please contact your child’s teacher otherwise come along and see them when they are free.

 

Hockey/Netball Thanks

We would like to invite all our wonderful team coaches for Hockey and Netball to join us in the school hall on Thursday 11th September to celebrate the end of the season. All players are asked to please bring something for a shared kai.

 

NZ General Election

This year the Election will be on the 20th September and Kaikohe East School is a polling booth!  Please enrol to vote!  Enrolling to vote is EASY!

 

Cultural Festival

The Cultural Festival will be held at Northland College. All performers will attend the dress rehearsal on Monday 22nd September and the performance for all whānau to attend will be on Wednesday 24th September, start time 11am. Entry by koha! Nau mai haere mai!

 

Saturday HockeyLast Saturday was the final round of our Major Round hockey!  Congratulations to Kaikohe East One, Whaea Claire’s team who won their grade this year and our babies, Mrs Woodman’s team, who finished 2nd equal with Ohaeawai School, awesome season guys, we are so proud of you all!!

This Saturday is our Closing Day Tournament.  Hockey Prize Giving is set for Saturday the 6th September.   Can Mrs Woodman’s team please be at the turf by 9.45am and Whaea Claire’s team meet her at the turf by 11.45am

 

Community Swimming Pool Meeting

For anyone interested in attending, there is a meeting in our staffroom this evening at 5.30pm, Sue Hodge from the FNDC will be discussing the proposal for a new Community Swimming pool.
