Welcome

A special welcome to Te Mana Toto and his whanau.

 

Support Staff DayToday we celebrated National Support Staff Day.  We honoured our wonderful Teacher aides, administrative staff and our caretaker for the wonderful contribution and effort they put into our tamariki and kura.

Graduate Profile Draw

Thanks to the many whanau members who provided feedback on our Graduate Profile. Shaylahne and Rosemary Horua were the winners of the lucky draw.

 

Rangimarie Video clip

This week Whaea Gina Harris took a video of many children from Rangimarie singing a brief song about the 7 sisters of Matariki. She would like to use this video clip for various events and places she goes. If any whanau from Rangimarie would like to view the video clip please come and see it in the school office. Whaea Chicky will attempt to contact all whanau concerned also.

The three children who will be representing us at the Rotary Speech Competition at the RSA, at 6:45pm on 24 June are Te Mana, Lazarus and Takutai.

Breakfast

Breakfast is available every morning in the school hall from 8 – 8.45am. Everyone is welcome!

Special thanks to Matua Kelvin for regularly coming into school to help with preparing and helping with giving our children breakfast. If there are any other whanau wishing to come along to help and share breakfast with the children please do.

 

Matariki Ki-o-rahi Celebration Day

On Wednesday 24 June we will be having a Ki-o-rahi fun day and Hangi to celebrate Matariki. This also brings our Ki-o-rahi workshops with Gina Harris -Sport Northland to an end. On this day from 9.00am to 10.30am all Kaikohe East School classes will play one game each versing another class. The whole school will be out watching.

We have also invited two teams from Ohaeawai School to play our seniors from about 11.30. Hangi will be out at 1pm. Hangi can be purchased for $5 at the office.

 

NetballThanks to all players and supporters who came last Saturday.

Players to be at Lindvart Park by 8:15am on Saturday.

Practice at school at lunchtime on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

 

HockeyTeams to be at Lindvart Park on Saturdays at 10:30am (Y3-4 Team) and 11:30am (Y5-6 Team).

Practices at 4:00pm at Lindvart Park on Mondays and at school at lunchtime on Wednesdays and Fridays.

 

Rugby League

The team needs to meet coach Ken Moka at Lindvart Park straight after school on Wednesdays. Games start at 4:00pm and 4:45pm. Practices are Tuesday and Fridays at school at lunchtime.
