Any Whānau wishing to run a club activity or help a teacher out please contact the school office. We are starting clubs in the second week back after the school holidays.  So far we have or teachers interested in running the following club activities on a Monday afternoon from 2.05-2.50pm

·      Jewellery Making/nail polish pamper club

·      Puppet making

·      Science experiments – one for Juniors and one for Seniors

·      Get fit club

·      Cake decorating

·      Hip Hop

·      Ngā Toi (Kapahaka/weaving)

·      Mau Rākau

We would love to organise more clubs and involve lots of Whānau, please let us know if you can help or if you have another club idea for us.

Kids Can supplies

During the holidays we received a new lot of supplies including:

Food snacks, shoes/jackets for new children, kutu lotion.

If Whānau wish to use the kutu lotion products they will need to come and collect them from the office please. It would be unsafe to send them home with children.

We also have a supply of bread (frozen and sometimes fresh) so do not hesitate to come in and get some bread if you need any, we would rather it be eaten and used than go to waste or to a pig bucket.

Saturday Netball

Saturday Netball is now over for the season. Thanks to all our coaches, players and supporters. The Year 1 and 2 team will be bringing home their goodies from the end of season prize giving today. The Year 5 and 6 teams collected these on the last Saturday.  Once Hockey finishes this term we will notify everyone about an awards lunch to be held at school.

Class Blogs

We have decided that we will be setting up class blogs as a way of documenting and sharing our learning with each other, our whānau, local and wider community. The blog may contain photos, videos and your child’s work. All work will be checked by the classroom teacher before it gets posted however we would like to post what your child is capable of and not change it too much therefore at times this may mean that there are some errors in children’s work posted. What we hope is that you will see improvements in your child’s work as time goes on. Please let your child’s teacher know if you would not like their photos or work included on the class blog.

Saturday Hockey

Saturday Hockey starts back this Saturday! Please remember that if your child arrives at Hockey without a mouthguard they will not be permitted to play. Can Mrs Woodman’s team please be at the turf by 9.45am and Whaea Claire’s team to meet at the turf at 10.30am.

No Subway Lunches

A reminder to all whanau that we are no longer having Subway Lunches.  We will now offer “Yvonne’s Lunches” every day of the week.
