End of Year Reports

Teachers will be completing written end of year reports for all tamariki over the next few weeks. Reports will be sent home with the school newsletter on Wednesday 11th December giving Whanau two days before the end of the year to come and discuss reports with teachers if they wish.

Talent Quest

On Tuesday 10th December we are planning to hold a Kaikohe East School Talent Quest in our school hall. All children will be able to audition and practise their items in their classrooms. Teachers will select 1-3 acts/performers from each class to participate on this day.

Bike Track Opening

What a great day, here are some pictures taken last week at the opening of our bike track.

Transition for Year 6

Apologies to our Whanau but the Transition days at Kaikohe Intermediate were today Wednesday 13th November and tomorrow. We advertised the wrong dates initially. All Year 6 children, unless we are told otherwise by Whanau, will attend both days. Children will catch a bus at 8.50am and at the end of the day will be escorted by staff back to school leaving the Intermediate by about 2.35pm to be back at Kaikohe East to leave at 3pm as usual.

Car Seat Checks

Due to the recent law change concerning all 7 year olds needing to be in an approved child restraint tomorrow and Friday a local Police officer and a representative from Plunket will be in and around the school checking Whanau car seats and ensuring that they are safe and secure.

Trumps Lunch Change

There has been a slight change to our “Trumps” lunch order options.  We are no longer able to purchase “moosies” and the “Cool Change” juice drinks have been replaced with “Ocrhid Mill” juice, which is just as yummy.
