Please ensure your child has a change of clothes, lunch and a drink. Feel free to come and cheer us on!

TouchThanks to those of you who have shown interest. We will have 2 Under 11's teams, one under 9's and one under 7's. Teams are usually large to begin with, but they do shrink towards the middle of the season.

If your child has brought back their permission form, they will be told which team they are in and who their coach is on Thursday morning. Can they please meet their coaches at Lindvart Park tomorrow, Thursday 17th October at 3.30pm, bring appropriate footwear and a drink.

T Ball starts next Wednesday, 23rd October, 4-5pm. Permission slips have gone out and only permission slips that have been signed will be in a team. There are 2 senior teams U 11’s. Your child will be told what team they’re in and also team lists outside my room windows. We are looking for managers to manage teams on Wednesday afternoons. All practices are at school during lunchtime 1.15-2.45.

Basketball Representatives Hāngi fundraiser

Congratulations to Wakaroa Smith, Vaughan Komene, Samuel Edmonds and Kharnae Pene-Johnstone for being selected to represent at a Rotorua Tournament coming up soon. Well done boys!

To assist with the boys costs for their time away we are planning to have a hāngi on Friday 22nd November. Hāngi will go on sale next week, $10 each and will as usual include: 3 meats, pumpkin, kumara, cabbage, potato and stuffing.

If any whānau have dry wood or clean newspaper they could donate for the hāngi we would be very grateful.

Whānau are also welcome to come and help prepare/pack on Thursday 21st November in the school hall from about 10am.

Social Worker – Whaea Lucy

Just a reminder that we have a school social worker who is available at our school most Wednesday and Thursday. Her role is varied but is mainly about supporting children and their whānau. Come and see Whaea Lucy if there is something you may need help with or want to query.

End of Year Report

We will have an end of year report for all children who have been at school for longer than 6 weeks ready to send home later this term. The report format is simplified and will show whānau what Reading/Writing/Maths curriculum level your child is working at and will include a general comment about other areas of the curriculum.
