Room 15 “Pātaka Kai”
Room 15 went to the library in support of the Pātaka kai opening on Monday. Our deputy mayor Tania and Shelby cut the ribbon. It was a great morning showing support for our community and also our students mother (Lee Mason) who had been involved in starting Kaikohe’s own Pātaka Kai. The children did waiata tautoko for karakia, kaumātua kōrero and for Tania.
We are proud of them all and they showed great respect out in the community.
We were also given 6 citrus trees to grow in our orchard.

Room 9 NewsOn Friday our class made baked beans on toast. We had to write how to make them before we were allowed to cook them in the kitchen. We had to write down all the things that you need to make baked beans. We had to write the instructions all in the right order because if they were in the wrong order the person reading them will cook the baked beans wrong. I ate two pieces of toast with baked beans on it. It was delicious. We also got to have apples and milk.
