Here are a few pics from last Wednesdays  visit by some of our children interacting with the Vodafone Warriors!

Uniforms

A big thanks to whānau who have managed to get their tamariki into uniform this term.  Our school looks very smart with most children now in Uniform. We have good stock of all sizes of polo shirts except size 6, they are due to arrive in 2-3 weeks.  Here is a list of what we offer and their prices: polo shirts with school logo $35, hoodies $30, fleece jackets $55, caps $8, bows $3.

A reminder that the $3 green polos at The Warehouse are acceptable to wear but it would be good if each child had a polo with the school logo on it for special days when we leave the school, for photo days etc.

All teachers should wear a highlighter jacket so that they can be easily identified.

Lunches

We were hoping to offer a free one day a week lunch in Term 2 by a group of volunteers from Whāngarei.  Until then we will continue with Thursday pies $2, juicies $1 and Friday pies $2, juicies $1.

Orders will be taken at the school office before 8.50am and delivered to classes at 1pm.

Tryathlon

Thanks to all the children who have signed up for this year’s Tryathlon to be held in Waitangi on Sunday the 7th April 2019.  The fee to participate will be covered by the school but whānau must be available to transport their child and gear to and from the event.  Any queries please come and see Whaea Lydia in Room 12/Poutama.

If your child has missed out on participating with the school group please read the information below:

Whānau Fun Day

Because our Whānau Fun Day was such a success last year we are planning another one for Thursday 21 March.  All classes will be organising a stall or an activity on the day, we will be selling hāngi and all whānau are welcome to come and join us:

9-11am in classes seeing your child’s work

11.30 – 2pm Stalls and activities happening

If you want to be involved somehow come and see your child’s teacher or just come along and buy some goodies!

We need dry hāngi wood and clean newspaper please.  If any whānau are able to supply us with wood can you please get in touch, it would be great to have some wood here over the next couple of weeks.

There will be a survey on the day to fill out also please.  whānau that attend and complete the survey will go into a draw to win prizes.

Bus Bay Reminder

Whānau are reminded that stopping in the bus bay is not permitted.  Bus drivers get annoyed when pulling in and cars are parked in our bus bay.
