Newsletter 201336 - 20 November 2013

Welcome

This week we would like to welcome to our school new student: Rush Paraku and welcome back to Castro Pompey and Shadae Kingi

Deepest SympathyToday we mourn the loss of an amazing woman, Whaea Claire Tauariki nee Broomfield.  Claire was a Teacher Aide who worked at our school for a few years.  She worked tirelessly for everyone particularly her mokopuna. She will be remembered fondly and missed very much by us all.

Claire is at Ngawha Marae and some staff will be attending her funeral with children who have permission to attend this Friday, from Tumanako and Room 12, leaving school by bus at approximately 12.30 and returning to school at approximately 2pm after the service at the marae.

Children in these classes will be bringing home a separate letter which needs to be signed and returned to school by tomorrow. If we do not receive your permission your child will remain at school.

Sausage Sizzle for Life Ed

On Wednesday 27th November we will be having a Sausage Sizzle and Moosie or Juicie day to raise money for the Life Education Trust. Orders will be taken in classes and delivered at 12.30pm. Sausage Sizzles are $2 each and Juicies/Moosies $1 each.  There will be no Trumps orders taken on this day.

Trumps Lunch Change

There has been a slight change to our “Trumps” lunch order options.  We are no longer able to purchase “moosies” and the “Cool Change” juice drinks have been replaced with “Orchid Mill” juice, which is just as yummy.
