Our last day of the year is Tuesday 17th December.  School will end as usual at 3pm.

Tanga Card and Road Patrollers trip

This Friday Whaea Becs, Mrs Maihi and one other staff member will be taking the two top tanga card winners from each class for the year and regular road patrollers to Kawakawa for a swim and lunch.  Children who are going took a letter home earlier this week, any queries see your child’s teacher.

 

Year 6’s Farewell and thanks

Reports home

End of Year reports are being sent home today with the newsletter.  Please also be aware that while we try very hard to ensure reports are accurate we sometimes do overlook errors, should by any chance you receive a report with an error in it please let us know.  Reports will come home next Wednesday in envelopes with your newsletter. Included also may be a letter from us if your child’s attendance is a concern. While we are aware at times absences have to happen we have a threshold of 20% (which equates to 5 days absence per term)

All photos not collected are being sent home with children today.  Please check your child’s bag.

 

Classroom Shared Lunches

Children in Ngā Kākano will be enjoying an end of year party Thursday, 12th December from 11:30 a.m. Children will bring a note home confirming whether or not to bring anything.

Room 4 having a shared lunch class party on Thursday 12th - children to bring kai to share if possible.

Manawanui and Rangimārie are having their end of year pool party (if pool is fixed) & shared kai next week 12 - 1pm Thursday 12th December.

 

Touch

Well done to our KES Touch players and coaches. What an awesome season. A huge thank you to our coaches and whānau who have taken the time to help our little champs.

Looking forward to another great season in 2020. 

Kaikohekohe GamesIt was such an awesome experience for our school to participate in the Kaikohekohe games held at Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Kaikohe. A big mihi to all our tamariki, whānau supporters, Whaea Ali, Whaea Crystal, and Mrs Stillwell for your awhi. Congratulations to Kaikohe East School on receiving the Toa Whakaihuwaka - Overall Champions 2019.

 

T Ball

Thank you to all our Tball and Slow pitch players. There will be no TBall games Wednesday 11th December 2019 only for our Slow pitch team who have made the finals against Kaikohe Intermediate School at 5.20pm on Skin 3. Nau mai haere mai whānau
