Tena koutou katoa, nga mihi nui ki a koutou nga whanau o te Ruma Rangimarie 9, the bi-lingual unit in Te Korowai o te Aroha.
Ko Whaea Waiora ahau. Ko au te kaiako o te akomanga o Rangimarie. Currently we have 22 tamariki in our class, ranging from year 2-4 who are;
Proud of who they are and where they come from
Prepared for and ready to accept challenges
Learners now and in the future
Where we strive to uphold our school values to:
Be Considerate, Be Courteous, Be Cooperative,
and to use our Commonsense.
Our door is always open and we welcome whanau to come along and watch, join in or help out throughout the day. You may notice some changes to how our class looks and works.
Here’s a sneak peek into our day...
BLOCK 1 - whole school karakia in the hall. Following this we return to our class for Panui (Reading).
BLOCK 2 - Tuhituhi (Writing), Pangarau (Numeracy). This term our kaupapa is Whanaungatanga.
BLOCK 3 - Is a reflection session, where tamariki will evaluate their mahi for the day and set goals for the next day.
We are a bilingual class so there is an expectation that the tamariki in this class will hear, use and learn more te reo than other classes. We have dedicated te reo learning sessions as well as using conversational te reo throughout the day.
What’s happening this term?
Swimming
Our slots are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 12:00pm. Please bring togs, towel and a plastic bag and a swimming cap if you have one . Long hair needs to be tied up.
Whanau Wall and Photos
We would like to have photos of whanau in our class. Please send in a photo and we can copy and return it. If you don’t have a photo, bring your whanau along and I will take one of you.
Whanau hui
We will be having whanau hui this term. During these meetings we will discuss the levels your tamariki are at and set some goals for the year.
Marae Noho
We would like to visit a local marae this term. More information about this will be shared closer to the time.
