If the weather is unsuitable on Thursday the games will be postponed until Tuesday 4th July. (COL – Kahui Ako)

Next Monday Whaea Chicky will as part of her COL mahi start visiting all the schools within the Te Arahura COL. She is looking forward to visiting with the three newly appointed Across COL Teachers to see what great things are happening in our local schools and sharing this at the next COL Meeting next term.

Kaikohe East School Board of Trustees

The Kaikohe East School Board meets at the school at 1:30pm on Wednesday 5th July. Go to the school website www.kaikeast.school.nz

for the agenda and associated reports.

Rheumatic Fever

There has been an increase in the number of new Rheumatic Fever cases diagnosed in Northland this year. We encourage a throat swab if your child complains of a sore throat. This can be done at School or at the doctors.

A positive throat swab means that your child has the Strep A bug. Once they have taken the 10 day antibiotic course this will clear and prevent it invading the body further and developing Rheumatic Fever.

School Holidays

A reminder to whanau, that the school holidays are approaching. The last day of school is Friday 7th July. Term 3 commences on Monday 24th July.

Farewell and thanksThis term we say farewell and thanks to Whaea Shiralee who has been teaching in Rangimarie this term. Next term we are pleased to have Whaea Ceri teaching Literacy from 9-11 in Rangimarie and Whaea Kelli teaching Numeracy and other curriculum areas from 11.30-3pm.

Whaea Shiralee will continue to do relieving for us at our school.
