COVID–19 Level 2 Lockdown

Since last week we are noticing that not all visitors are following the “sign in rules”. If this continues we will be forced to go back to locking the school gates and asking whānau to only come in for emergencies.

Alert Level 2 applies to us at Kaikohe East School from midday last Wednesday.

Flooding remediation update

All class flooding remediation works have been completed and children are back in their newly carpeted rooms.  We are now awaiting insurance funds to replace damaged furniture.

Transition to Kaikohe Intermediate School

Due to us being in Covid Level 2 there will be no transition, we have organised another date, 16 September. More details later.

Basketball/Netball/Hockey

Due to Covid-19 announcement there will be no games next week for Basketball, Netball and Hockey teams.

Manawa Tahi Hub

Today there was a Te Manawa Tahi community hub. Te Manawa Tahi is a learning support hub where you can come in and talk to education professionals about your child's learning needs. This is a free service. If you missed this opportunity please phone 0800 5248 4256.
