Whānau Survey 2018

We want to show whānau that we have thought about your ideas in terms of improvements we can make. So this week we are replying (in blue) to comments on the following from Whānau to share what we do and what we can do about the query shared.

Whānau Query: Introduce a Head lice reduction programme

Our response: We have in our sick bay kutu combs and kutu solution for whānau to come and collect to start treatment at home. The new imoko programme, if whānau register, can also come in and treat any children.

Our School Song

This week we have been practising our school song that was written a few years ago by local musician “Troy Kingi”:

Ko te Kura Rāwhiti

Ko te Kura Rāwhiti e haruru nei

Ka pū te ruha ka hao te rangatahi e

We celebrate our school

And all that we achieve

Proud and prepared, learning to reach our dreams

CHORUS

We strive to be courteous, co-operative, considerate, use common sense

We are the leaders of our future

Uphold the mana of our school

Working hard is what we do

Taking a risk and giving it a go

Always happy to show what we know

Ko te Kura Rāwhiti e haruru nei

Ka pū te ruha ka hao te rangatahi

Ka tū te ihi ka tū te mana

Kia kaha kia toa kia manawanui

Kaikohe East is a great place to be

Helping each other like one big family

Coming to school and having lots of fun

Learning together and working as one

CHORUS

We strive to be courteous, co-operative, considerate, use common sense

We are the leaders of our future
