Whaea Chicky and her whānau wish to sincerely thank the Kaikohe East School board, staff, children and whānau for their awhi and aroha during her mum’s tangi. The special messages, cards, flowers, koha, kai and beautiful visits will be treasured and truly helped the whānau.

Kaikohe Intermediate 2019

All Year 6 children will be bringing home an envelope today and an enrolment form. Please read all the information and complete the enrolment form if your child is attending Kaikohe Intermediate School in 2019.

Please also note that there is a meeting to be held at Kaikohe Intermediate School for any whānau of Year 6 students and their caregivers on Tuesday 4th December, the meeting will start at 5.15pm.

KES Has Talent Show!

Zoo Trip

On Wednesday 5th December, Tūmanako, Room 16 and Room 15 will be going to Auckland Zoo. We will be leaving at 7am and back by 9pm. Please see your child's teacher if you have any questions.

TRYATHLON

Whaea Lydia will be distributing a letter today to children interested in participating in the 2019 TRYathlon to be held in Waitangi on Sunday the 7th April 2019. Any children that are able to participate are to get their form completed and sent back to the office please as soon as possible as there is a limit to 20 participants from our school. The fee to participate will be covered by the school but whānau must be available to transport their child and gear to and from the event.

 

Year 6 Leavers celebration

Teachers and Year 5 children will be busy organising for a Year 6 Leavers celebration to be held at our school hall on Wednesday 12th December. More details about this will come later.

Room 1 and 2 to post letters

This Friday all Room 1 and 2 children will be walking up to post their letters to Santa. The classes will leave at about 11.30am and will be back about 12.30pm.

Talent Show auditions were held last week and children selected to be in the finals to be held in conjunction with our Final Assembly for 2018 on Friday 7th December, probably from 11.30am-1pm in the School Hall. Times will be confirmed at a later date. All welcome!

Photos

School photos have arrived and are available at the school office. Photo orders will need to be collected by an adult unless otherwise organised with the school office.

Education Support in Kaikohe

This is an open invitation to the Kaikohe Community for the Education Support in Kaikohe hui at the Kaikohe Memorial Hall on Tuesday 4th December 2018. Any questions please feel free to contact Rachel Velden on 4011180.

End of Year Reports

All children who have been at school for more than 6 weeks will be given an end of year school report to bring home on Wednesday 12th December.

T Ball

There is T Ball today, 4pm at Lindvart Park. Children will be getting ready at school and then heading over ready to play by 4pm with their coaches and gear.

Touch

Touch again tomorrow. 4pm at Lindvart Park. Children will be meeting their coaches after school, getting ready and then heading over to Lindvart Park by 4pm.

Classes for 2019

Staff are over the next few weeks organising all children into classrooms for 2019. If you have a preference of the class you would like your child to be in next year if we can accommodate that, we will try. Any queries please feel free to contact or come and see the school office.

Kaikohe East School Board

SwimSafe Classes

Swimsafe lessons have started for all classes at our school pool. All Children will need named togs and towel in a bag every Monday and Tuesday as well as their normal swimming days please.
