Special congratulations to our school office administrator, Kohi Manukau who last week married Joshua Woodman. She is now Mrs Woodman!
Room 1 and 4 Camp
Time has creeped upon us and it is now only two weeks away before for Rooms 1 and 4 go to camp From Wednesday the 2nd- Friday the 4th of April. Teachers are busy finalising transport, the menu and the itinerary/activities for these days. If children have not brought back their permission slips can we have those in by Friday please so we can finalise numbers attending and parent help. Along with this newsletter we are sending home gear lists, contact details while at camp and an itenerary. If you have any questions regarding the camp please contact the teachers involved. Room 4 Miss Ceri Mason and Room 1 Mrs Rebecca Croucher or Miss Natalie Snow.
DISCO for 0-10year olds
On Friday 28th March there is to be a Disco held at the Memorial Hall. $2 entry and glow sticks also available for sale.
Triathlon this SundayThis Sunday a group of children will be travelling to Whangarei with Mrs Croucher and Mrs Stillwell to compete in the Kids Triathlon. A separate newsletter will be coming home with those children involved tonight. We wish them all the best and are sure they will represent our school to a high standard.
School Gala
The School Gala will be held this Saturday the 22nd March starting at 10am.
All stall helpers will be receiving a letter with their child with information about what is required when you are helping on a stall.
All Hangi preparers – please be at the school hall any time from 10am, bring a peeler/knife. If we have a good number of helpers from this time we can usually be finished all hangi preparation by 3pm.
CLASS GROCERY HAMPERS
Please send to school by this Friday any non-perishable items suitable for a class grocery hamper

-clean newspaper and plastic bags for hangi
NUMBERED CAKE BOXES
Today your child will be bringing home a cake box which will need to be returned on the morning of the Gala with some tasty baking in it. There are prizes for the 3 most interesting/mouth watering cakes.
HANGI WOOD NEEDED
We also need wood for the Hangi, about a ute load should do?
FOOD/RIDE/HANGI TICKETS
Are on sale now! Avoid the queues and come to the office and purchase your tickets now or outside the office on Saturday. Please note that there will be no refunds on tickets.
REMINDER NO CASH will be taken at any stalls/rides except at the Ticket / Raffle sales outside the office. We do not have eftpos available so be sure to bring cash to buy your tickets.
Room 14 to Puketi Forest
On Tuesday 25th March Room 14 will be visiting Puketi Forest, the bus will leave school at about 9am and will return by 2.30pm. Children should have brought a note home already about this. Any queries please contact Mr Shaw.

Kaikohe Literacy Day
The Kaikohe Rotary Literacy Day is 10:00am to 12:00pm on Saturday 5 April at Northland College. Fun literacy activities for all the family. 1,000 children's books to be given away. All welcome!
Stationary
Children who did not manage 100% attendance for the start of their year will be bringing home an invoice for their stationary ($15 per child) payable at the school office.
