KAIKOHE EAST SCHOOL

PROPERTY REPORT TO BOARD OF TRUSTEES

 1               Property

1.1           Cleaning

1.1.1    Green acres – Mihi and Mohamed continue to be our contract cleaners.

1.1.2    Staff are regularly asked to provide feedback regarding school cleaning to ensure that it happens appropriately       

2          2.1       Minor Maintenance

2.1.1    Boss is very aware that this budget area is close to being 100% spent.

3          3.1       Property Plan

3.1.1    Pat Brennan of Patson Services is our school project manager.

3.1.2    Pat and I met to discuss the attached draft summary for the 5 year plan.  This enables us to complete the projects listed with school funding obtained from the Ministry.

3.1.3    The current hall project being completed will see a spruce up including the installation of a dishwasher, new kitchen cabinetry, air conditioning, improved lighting, partial roof replacement, vinyl replacement, installation of storage shelving and an interior Paint.

3.1.4    The Ministry funded administration project includes “fixing leaks” and is estimated to be completed mid Term 3.

3.1.5    The deck currently has a certificate for public use.  There are still some issues to sort.

4          4.1       Fixed Assets

4.1.1    The fixed asset register will be updated this year to ensure that  only appropriate items are listed.
