Curriculum Report – Technology

Focus

• • Technology is part of the Inquiry curriculum.

  • The school wide programmes for the year have been planned around the topics: Identity and Culture, Planet Earth and Beyond, Change and Innovation

  • Classes continue with the use of cameras, iPads, Apple TV’s and TV screens and general use of computers.

Programme

• • Teachers have taught technology through an integrated approach through Literacy and Maths. The topics Identity and Culture, Planet Earth and Beyond, Change and Innovation have guided the learning with a particular focus on Technology in Term 4 for the completion of the school  float for the Kaikohe Christmas Parade.

Assessment Procedures

• • There are no formal assessment requirements.

Looking Ahead

• • We will be purchasing chrome books to be used in some of the senior classes as a trial next year.
