1205 Attendance Report Term 1 2012

Attendance is better than for term 1 of 2011. (83.5% compared to 79.5% in 2011) in fact this is the best attendance we have had for some time.

 

16.5% absent however still equates to about 35 pupils absent each day, but that compares to 61 pupils per day for term 1 last year.

 

20 children attended every day this term and 103 (almost a half) attended for more than 90% of the time.

 

At the other end of the scale, our lowest attendee was at school for only 49% of the time and we had 13 pupils who had attendance figures of below 70%.  70% equates to 29 days absent over the term.

Very low numbers of non-Maori make comparisons by ethnicity pointless.

 

Attendance continues to improve as children get older.

Class attendances varied from 73 to 91% but they followed the patterns whereby those with younger children had less attendance than those with older children
