Whānau Hui

Each term we take the opportunity to report on each child’s progress to Whānau, share information, your child/children’s book work and clarify any queries that Whānau may have.  This term we are having this hui on Tuesday 10th September. Appointments will be scheduled for approximately 8 minutes per child and we will try our best to accommodate your requests.

School will close at 12.30pm on this day and only children who have permission will walk home or be collected at this time. Supervision will be available from 1pm in the school hall and buses will run as normal. All Whānau are asked to please complete the attached form so that we can organise appointment times and be sure that on this day your child is kept safe.

You can expect your appointment time home on Wednesday 4th September.

Kids Can Dress Up Day

This Friday 9th August we are having a dress up day to raise funds for Kids Can.  Kids Can have helped us so very much with food, jackets/coats, nit oil and combs etc. On this day we are asking for all children to come in “dress up” clothes and buy a $2 sausage sizzle.  We will also have face painting for $2 per child available. Our face painter, Mrs Claire Edmonds will move around classes from about 9am painting the faces of children.  All funds raised will go to Kids Can.

While our first day of Clubs last week was a little wet it appears that most children and staff had a fantastic start. Here are some pictures of the children from the Gardening Club in action.
