End of Year Reports

On Wednesday the 7th of December all children who have been at school for at least 6 weeks will be receiving a report to show how they are progressing toward the National Standard and to give whanau the opportunity to see what their child knows and what their next learning steps are.

Next year we will be asking whanau about how they find our reports.  Are they clear? Are they giving you good information? Would you rather a face to face report etc?  We look forward to your comments about this.

Junior Syndicate Celebration

On Thursday, December 8th the Junior Syndicate (Rooms 1, 2, 3, 8, and Manawanui) will be running Christmas craft activities followed by a shared kai and a swim. Whanau are welcome to visit us for the activities and the shared kai. A reminder notice will be sent home closer to the date.

Santa’s Grotto Visits

All classes over the next couple of weeks will be walking up to Santa’s Grotto that has been developed at the old Mitre 10 building.

Attendance in 2017

Teachers are asking whanau who have children with unsatisfactory attendance recorded on their end of school reports to please try to get their child/children to school more regularly in 2017.  Our school wide attendance is very poor and while we don’t want children at school who are sick we are aware that at times children are kept home for what we believe are unjustified reasons.  We also appreciate whanau contacting us to ensure we record accurately why children are away.  Any concerns regarding this do not hesitate to come and talk to us.
