Welcome

A special welcome to our new tamariki and their  whānau: Tayden Andrew, Tila, Tamara and Dale Matthews.

 

ERO Visit

During this time  whānau are more than welcome to come and talk with the reviewers on Tuesday 10th March from 2.30pm or if you would prefer contact Jane on 027 464 9218 or email Jane.Carroll@ero.govt.nz

There will be a mihi whakatau for ERO in the school hall this Monday 9th March at about 11.40am, all welcome!

 

Uniforms

School Polo shirts are $35 and you will receive a free pair of black pants while stocks last.

We also have the polar fleece jackets. These are priced according to sizes therefore from a size 6 – 14 will be $55 each any size bigger will cost $65 each.

We are still waiting for polo shirts sorry, when they arrive we will let  whānau know. For now any children with no uniform please feel free to wear your usual clothes or there are green polos at The Warehouse Kaikohe that are ok also. DO NOT keep your child home if they do not have a uniform please. If you want to set up an automatic payment or just pay a uniform off as you can afford to, come and see Kohi in the office, we will make it as easy as we can for you.

 

Room 3 Stories

Whānau Hui – 17th March

Please find enclosed in this newsletter an opportunity for  whānau to select a convenient time to come and visit teachers to discuss classroom programmes, your child’s progress so far, draft graduate profile and any other queries you may have. Time slots will be 10 minutes. We will do our best to give you the time you wish.

If you have any queries don’t hesitate to get in touch.

A reminder that classes finish at 1pm on this day. Supervision will be available until 3pm for walkers and until buses arrive for children who travel by bus.

 

Rooms 4, 5, 6 Pool Party

During the last week of school these classes are planning a time when  whānau of these children are welcome to come and join children and teachers at their Pool Party/ Whānau Day!

Hockey

Any students from Years 2 -6 interested in playing hockey, there’s a skills and drills course at the hockey turf every Friday from 3.30pm – 5pm until the 20th March.

 

DRESS UP DAY

We raised $165 to help Leukaemia & Blood Cancer New Zealand. Thank you to everyone who contributed.

Swimming Timetable

Please note your child’s class swimming days.

 

 Whānau Sports Hui

 We are looking for  whānau to volunteer coaching tamariki for our many sports teams that are happening at the moment and in the near future. If you think you may be interested please come along to our casual hui, hosted by Kelli Witana and Lydia Cooper tomorrow Thursday 5th March. There will be nibbles provided.

 

Kutu Product

We have a new kutu product in the office with instructions on how to use it.  whānau please come to the office with a small container and we will fill it for you.

 

DDF Dance Studioz

Classes at Kaikohe East School – Monday and Wednesday, $10 per lesson starting this Monday. Contact Alannah if interested on 4077035 or 0272225574.

The school will pay 50% of the total cost for the first 5 children that register and pay.

Total cost = $60 so  whānau pay $30 and the school pays the other $30. Call in and make your payment at the school office.

 

Hokianga Pioneers League
