Learning at Home

Here are some activities whānau might like to do at home with their 8-10 year olds.

BOT Chairperson

Last week we held our first Board of Trustees meeting with the newly elected Board. It is our pleasure to announce that at our meeting Lisa Tuwhangai was elected as our new BOT Chairperson.

Year 5 & 6 Urban Camp

All year 5 & 6 students are working towards gaining 100 pasta points which will allow them to attend the Urban Camp in Auckland from the 2nd-4th July 2013.  Further information will be sent out to those tamariki involved.

FundraisingOver the next 5 weeks we will be holding 3 fundraising events for the Urban Camp. This Friday 7th June we will be having a cake stall.

Share the RoadLast week we had two logging trucks visit our school.  I learnt the mud flaps stop the mud from flicking in the car’s windscreen.  In the front of the truck is a blind spot.  It was colossal.

The red things on the back of the truck are called bolsters.

I felt high up in the cab and it was exciting.
