The Kaikohe East School Board will meet at the school at 1:30pm on Wednesday 6 December. Go here  for the agenda and associated reports.

OSCAR Holiday Programme

Whanau who are interested please contact OSCAR on 02725822244 or 09 4053996.  The holiday programme will run from 11th December until 22 December and then again from 15th January.  For costs please phone OSCAR or look online at Kaikohe Oscar blogspot.

Reports homeOn Wednesday 6th December most children will be bringing home their end of year school report in an envelope.   While we try very hard to ensure reports go home error free, at times we get things wrong, therefore if you see any errors in your child’s report do not hesitate to come and see us. If whanau have any specific questions or queries about anything in their child’s report please come and see your child’s teacher.  Children who have been at school less than a term will not receive an end of year report but whanau are welcome to come and get an update from their class teacher.

Health Topics 2018

The school is required to consult with whanau about the Health topics being taught.

Next year our Health Curriculum topics are likely to include the following ideas/topics/content

Term 1 Sun safety and using WITS (walk away, ignore, tell someone rather than get into an argument with someone)

Term 2 Healthy Eating and being active

Term 3 Life Education - keeping safe and taking care of my body, fire safety and first aid.

Term 4 Personal Hygiene

If whanau have anything they wish to discuss, add to, please contact the school office on 094011532 or email chicky@kaikeast.school.nz
