Sports Assembly

A special Sports Assembly is to be held on Friday 20th September at 10.30am in the school hall. All Whanau and coaches of particularly Hockey are welcome to attend. At this assembly we will acknowledge our Cross Country and Hockey players.

Loud Shirt DayPlease encourage your children to get behind ‘Loud Shirt Day’ by wearing the loudest, brightest shirt they have or they can decorate their own, this Friday, 20th September. This is to raise money to help deaf children learn to listen and speak.  We are asking children to bring a gold coin donation.  There will be a prize for the best dressed class, best dressed children and best dressed staff member.

Holiday ReadingIn order that children can continue to read over the school holiday, we are encouraging them to borrow books from the school library that they can keep at home until term 4.  An invitation is also extended to the families of our children to borrow books.  The library will be open to children and whanau next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, when Mrs Maihi will be available to issue books.  I hope that you will come along and see the large range of books we have, and choose some good holiday reading.
