Newsletter 201437 - 19 November 2014

Welcome

A very special “Welcome” to the following students and their whānau to our school this week: Rongomatane Kea, Romanie Tarawa, Joshua and Gabriel Robson.

Survey Home

All children will be bringing home a survey for whānau to complete and return to school next week.  The purpose of the survey is to get whānau ideas and thoughts about what they think is important about what our children learn when they are at school and whether or not there are any changes needing to be made for their future.

Congratulations

Our congratulations to these teachers who have been reappointed to teaching positions at our school – Margaret Cassidy currently teaching in Room 3, Natalie Snow currently teaching in Rooms 1/2, and Lydia Cooper.

School TouchWe would like to remind all children and whānau that in order for children to play they need to return their permission slips, No permission, no game.  Fees are $15 each.  All help is appreciated!  Please contact us at school if you can help. Thank you to Matua Malcolm, Whaea Kelly Davies and Matua Kelvin for volunteering to help with a team.

All children who have been at school for at least 6 weeks will be bringing home an end of year school report on Wednesday 3rd December. The report should clearly explain where your child is achieving in terms of the National Standards in Reading, Writing and Maths. While we do try to make reports clear and error free sometimes we do muck up.  Therefore if any whānau have any questions about their child’s report or find any errors do not hesitate to come and see or contact your child’s teacher. Our apologies in advance.
