Mounted Games is an action packed event played on horseback at speed.

School Touch

Touch rugby started last Thursday at Lindvart Park. We would like to remind all children and whanau that in order for children to play they need to return their permission slips, No permission, no game. Fees are $15 each. We still require parent helpers/coaches for U7’s, U9’s and U11’s. All help is appreciated! Please contact us at school if you can help. Thank you to Matua Kelvin for volunteering for one of the U7’s team.

New Lunch Additions

As of this week we have added to our lunch menu the options of milk biscuit $1, nachos $4 and quiche $4. The macaroni lunch option has been removed as it is no longer available.

Transition days for 2015

Class organisation for 2015 has been sorted for next year. In order to ease children into a possible new class/environment/teacher for 2015 we have decided to have two transition days Monday 1st and Tuesday 2nd December whereby all children spend this time in their 2015 class.

Kai at school

All Whanau please remember that we have plenty of yummy kai at school we are more than happy to give your child/children throughout the day. Please do not think that because you don’t have kai for breakfast or lunch that you need to keep your child/children at home. Send them school, we have weetbix, milk, bread etc for toast and lots of snack foods!

School Uniform 2015

We will be expecting all children in school uniform by the beginning of next year so come and see Kohi at the office about part time payments or purchase now!

School Polo shirts are $35 and you will receive a free pair of black pants while stocks last.

We also are ordering the polar fleece jacket (full or half zip) These will be priced according to sizes therefore from a size 6 – 14 will be $55 each any size bigger will cost $65 each.

End of Year Celebration

On Wednesday 10th December we will be having a “Run, Jump, Throw” Day and Hangi for our End of Year Whanau Celebration, we welcome all whanau and friends to come along to enjoy the day!

Year 6 Transition Visits

All Year 6 children will today and tomorrow be visiting Kaikohe Intermediate School in preparation for 2015. All Whanau are welcome to attend on either of these two days to see what great work is happening at Kaikohe Intermediate School. The Year 6 children will at this time meet teachers, be involved in activities and will gain some insight into how Year 7 might be for them in 2015. Children brought home a letter detailing the programme for the two days yesterday.

Hangi Helpers

The school will be preparing hangi to sell at the Kaikohe Christmas Parade on Friday 28th November. Any parents/Whanau who are able to come along and help us please contact the office. We will start preparing the vegetables on the Thursday and start packing on the Friday. We need clean newspaper and plastic bags for this also. Please drop any supplies off at the school office. Many thanks for the Hangi wood donated by Lenny Clarke. We will be pre-selling these hangi in the school office, $8 each. Orders can be collected from Memorial Park from about 4pm.
