Welcome

A very special and warm welcome to the following new tamariki and their whānau who started this week! Lebron Beazley-Tango, Shakaela Winitana, Ruby Holland and Paerau Apirana.

“Thank You” to our Essential Workers

Since being back at school, we have been thanking essential workers who worked during Lockdown. We have had an amazing response from these essential workers and our tamariki have enjoyed giving back.

Here is Aka and Te Ata thanking the staff at Kaikohe Countdown!

These cards and poster were made by Room 3 to thank Fire Fighters and Police officers.

Here is Room 12’s collaborative art at Rāwene Hospital. How beautiful does that look!!

Classroom Fun

Room 8 children are learning how to describe an object by playing a game called "What Am I?"

Some children from Ngā Whetū showing off their weaving.

Tūmanako thought about all our Essential Workers and ways we could thank them for working during lockdown.

Matariki Bling Art

Today marked the first day a select group of tamariki started working with “Akau” on an exciting new arts project called Bling Bling Toi Marama – Bringing light to the depths of Tangaroa.

Our children's mahi will be part of the exhibition on display during Matariki at Te Pū o te Wheke Gallery in the main street.

We are looking forward to seeing the finished products!
