Manea – Footprints of Kupe

As a part of our Term 3 topic, Middle and Senior syndicate classes are visiting Manea in Opononi. If your child's trip is next week, they will bring home a permission slip today. Dates and classes going are as follows

Thursday 5th August

Room 17 & 7 - leaving at 9am / return at 1pm  

Room 15 & 8  - leaving at 11am / return at 3pm

Friday 20th August

Room 14 & Room 10

Group 1 - leaving at 9am / return at 1pm

Group 2 - leaving at 11am / return at 3pm

School Cross-Country

It is just over one week until our School Cross Country at Northland College on Thursday the 12th August. We will be sending our 5, 6, 7 and 8 year olds up to the college at 9.15am for their run, they will return to school by 11.30am. The9 and 10+ runners will be heading up to the college after morning tea. We aim to have the event finished by 2pm. We will send out further information regarding whānau coming to watch and sausage sizzles etc next week. We cannot wait to get muddy and have some fun!


All Girls Tournament

On Wednesday 25th of August 2021, there will be an “all girls” tournament held at Lindvart Park. The four sports being played will be netball, football (soccer), Rippa-rugby and touch. We will be taking 2 girls teams to represent Kaikohe East School.


Room 14 Trip to Waitangi

Room 14 went to Waitangi again today to take part in the Raranga Matahiko Programme. They learnt ways to create present and share their work digitally. We hope to share more of what they learnt next week!
