Holidays

The last day of this term is on Friday 9th July. Please come and look through our lost property/class areas for any clothing/shoes that may belong to your tamariki. Wishing you all a happy, safe and warm holiday break. We look forward to seeing all tamariki back at school on Monday 26th July.

Term 3-4 Organisation

At the end of Term 2 we farewell and thank Whaea Barbara who has been relieving in Room 9. We welcome back to Room 9 from Maternity leave Whaea Tyme Rata. 

We also wish to farewell and thank Whaea Natalie Snow who has been relieving in Room 8. Whaea Deb Kapa will be teaching in Room 8 for Term 3.

Some feedback re Reports 

Thank you to the whānau who have taken the time to give us some feedback about our Term 2 reports. We will be collating this and sharing some comments in the next newsletter. Meanwhile if you haven’t already done so visit our school FaceBook page and locate the survey to complete.

Free Lunches

We are working hard to encourage our school lunch providers to fit within the Ministry of Education guidelines and still make our lunches yummy. Hopefully meetings we are having and feedback we are sharing will improve our lunches so that most children eat what is provided and enjoy them.

HUSH DANCE HERE

We are looking forward to a performance by HUSH Dancers here tomorrow. Whaea Bo-Deene will be giving away some free class passes for Term 3. Please contact Whaea Bo-Deene directly for any information on Term 3 classes at her studio on Rankin Street by phoning 0211978871.

Room 9 Trip to Pioneer Village

Special thanks to Whaea Cheryl Smith for her awhi yesterday. Room 9 had a fabulous morning. They were fully engaged in all the activities and were captivated by everything that the Pioneer Village had to offer and a yummy kai when they got back to school. Thanks Whaea Aroha for the hot pizza!

Netball

This is our final week of Netball for the season. This week all teams will play one game. There will be a brief Prize-giving at Lindvart Park after games (weather permitting).

Games will start at 3.30pm

Round 1 starts at 3.30pm and will end at 4.30pm, there will be kai and prizes given to each team after pack up.

Basketball returns next term, we would like to thank both Taal and Cheryl Smith for their time and dedication.

Bling, Bling Toi Marama

Our children’s creations for this year's Bling Bling Toi Mārama light festival. The theme is Te Waonui a Tāne.  This year the festival will run for four days, from the 7th July - 11th July.  Thanks to Ākau for creating this awesome opportunity to celebrate Matariki.  Please remember to go to the Bling Bling event on lower Broadway whānau!

Science Roadshow

Room 14, 15 & 16 End of Term

Room 14 Trip to Waitangi

Room 14 will be travelling to Waitangi on Wednesday 28th July and Wednesday 4th August to take part in the Raranga Matahiko Programme. We will be learning ways to create, present and share our work digitally.
