Newsletter 202104 - 24 February 2021

Welcome to all our new tamariki and their whānau!

Nau mai haere mai!

Here are the names of our new tamariki – Donna Marei Rogers, Ghia Harris, Twan and Skylah Harris-Wilson, Aisha Reddy and Logan Martin.

School Closed

Our Te Arahura Kāhui Ako have another planned Professional Development day on Friday 12th March therefore school will be closed while teachers attend this.

Sports Day - Friday 26 February

Whānau are welcome to come into school at any time on Friday to sit in their child’s/children’s class, see their mahi and join in on any mahi happening during the day. There may also be an opportunity for whānau to have a kōrero with kaiako. Sausage-sizzle and ice blocks provided for all students after the sports. Whānau are welcome to bring kai to share with your tamariki or buy a sausage.

All classes are in these sports teams for the day and competing against each other. Each team will have a colour that we would like children to dress in. Do not feel pressured to buy anything special as it is not that important and we will have some bits at school for children to use.

Marae Overnight Stays

We have confirmed the following dates for our Ngāwhā Marae overnight stays.

Please return your signed pānui by Friday. Thanks to all whānau who have offered to come and help out, some classes have had too many offers of help therefore teachers will confirm which whānau are able to attend as we have limited space in the marae.

Whānau are welcome to visit their tamariki after 3pm at the marae. Please let your child’s teacher know if you would like to do this.
