School Closed
Our Te Arahura Kāhui Ako have another planned Professional Development day on Friday 12th March therefore school will be closed while teachers attend this.
Sports Day - Friday 26th February
Whanau are welcome to come into school at any time on Friday to sit in their child’s/children’s class, see their mahi and join in on any mahi happening during the day. There may also be opportunity for whānau to have a kōrero with kaiako. Sausage-sizzle and ice blocks provided for all students after the sports. Whanau are welcome to bring kai to share with your tamariki.
Marae Overnight Stays
We have confirmed the following dates for our Ngāwhā Marae overnight stays.
Rooms 5, 7 and 17 - Te Korowai o te Aroha - Tuesday 2nd March
Rooms 4, 12, 15 - Wednesday 3rd March
Rooms 1, 2, 10 - Thursday 4th March
Rooms 6, 8, 16 - Tuesday 9th March
Rooms 3, 9, 14 - Wednesday 10th March
Every child will bring home a Marae Pānui today, please be sure to fill it in and return it to school.
Food at School
Breakfast Club
Breakfast will be available in the school hall every day from 8am until about 8.30am.
Snacks in classrooms
Teachers will have snacks from Kids Can available for children in their rooms.
Fruit in Schools
Fruit is available to children in their classes.
Free Lunch programme
We are currently working through this process with the Ministry of Education; we are scheduled to start the free lunch programme from the beginning of Term 2.
Term 1 Hotdogs/Pie/Juicie days
Thursday is Hotdog/Juicie day
Friday is Pie/Juicie day
Prices: Hot dogs and Pies $2.50
Juicies $1
Please order before 9am in the school office, lunches will be delivered to classes at lunchtime.
