Thank you to whānau who made arrangements for their tamariki to be at home last Friday. The staff had a positive hui with some new learning that we will be putting into practise starting this week. It involves explicitly teaching the critical skills needed to develop early reading and spelling development by having more of a focus on letter sounds and using combinations of letter sounds to help read and write words.

Most classes will start their Literacy times in classes with some new “warm up” sessions that will assist tamariki learn these important basics.
