Attendance 2012 Apologies

A huge apology to the following tamariki who were unfortunately overlooked at our final celebration assembly last year. Our sincere apology to Hukarere, Kanteasha and their whānau.

Hukarere Tomuri-Grace achieved 100% and Kanteasha Singh achieved 97% attendance last year.

A superb effort by them and their whānau. Kapai tērā!

Gala Day

We are planning to reignite our Annual Gala Day this year. The scheduled day is Saturday 9th March 2013. We are asking for whānau help with things such as providing: hangi wood, newspaper, items for the white elephant, cakes and help at stalls on the day. If you wish to volunteer any help please contact Whaea Chicky or Kohi in the school office. This years fundraising efforts will go towards purchasing bikes and helmets for our children to use on the newly developed bike track.

Holiday Project updates

Upgrade to Rooms 1,2,5 & 6

This project is still underway. Rooms 1,2,5 and 6 are now due to be completed by Friday 8th February, so for now Room 1 children are sharing a classroom space with Room 3, Room 5 children are working in the Library and Room 6 children are working in Tumanako.

Bicycle Track

Our school bike track is almost complete. It has been developed down around the school garden and is due for completion in the next few weeks.

Playground upgrade

The playground upgrade has not started yet as we are waiting for council consent.  Once we get that the shade structures and a repaint of the red poles will start.

Pool Hoist

A pool hoist has been installed at the pool to assist our special needs children to enter the pool.

On Friday 8th February all the children who have attended school for the first two weeks will be receiving their stationery pack free. All other children will be given an envelope indicating how much their stationery will cost. Stationery envelopes with the correct money enclosed can be dropped off at the school office. Packs will be organised and taken to rooms.
