Class letters home today

Today all children will be bringing home a class letter with the newsletter. The letter is intended to give whānau a good idea of what is happening in classes during Term 3.

Cultural Festival

The annual Cultural Festival has been planned to happen this term. There will be a few Kaikohe East School groups preparing to perform at this annual event which will be held at Kaikohe Memorial Hall at 10am on Thursday 19th September. All performing groups will be required to attend a dress rehearsal on Tuesday 17th September at 10am, no whānau can attend the dress rehearsal sorry.

A programme will be shared closer to the time of the festival. Entry on the performance day is by koha. All proceeds will go towards travel and other related costs. Please note that the performances will be livestreamed on the day from Tautoko FM. Any queries about any of the above please contact us.

Kaikohe Firehouse Museum

Our teachers met Debbie from the Kaikohe Firehouse Museum on Rankin Street yesterday. Lunchtime – Chill out Room News

We would like to acknowledge Jayden from Room 14 and Charlie from Room 10 who have worked on their projects in the chill-out room. Jayden worked on his 2 story house complete with a tool truck, car and furniture for almost 20 weeks and Charlie worked on hers for about a month. Charlie has come a long way from just pasting anything on a piece of paper to making this bus with seat belts and curtains. They have both taken their creations home and Jayden said his parents were amazed with it. His top storey opens up to reveal the lower floor.

Basketball will start on Thursday 5th of August 2019 at Northland College from 4pm. For any of our primary students interested please see Whaea Claire.
