Ākau Futures

Ana and her team at Ākau Futures have been working with groups of our Poutama boys since Term 1 designing and creating some pretty amazing things. Next week as part of their “Taniwha” Kaupapa they will be taking a small group to Opononi for the day for An exploration of local taniwha. Who are they? Why are they unique? What are their stories? What they did as kaitiaki, whakatūpato, kaupare? Why we acknowledge them and how we can utilize their stories to create fun, interactive and educative spaces to play and learn.

They will be leaving school at 9.15 am Monday and returning to school by 2.45 pm.

The selected tamariki will have a permission slip sent home today.
