Gala Raffles range in price from $1 to $5 and we have lots of really cool prizes to win.  Come to the office if you would like to view all the Raffles and or buy a ticket.  Raffles will be drawn this Friday, 1st April, at our school morning karakia.

Year 3 & 4 Rippa Rugby

Tomorrow Whaea kelli and Whaea Rehutai will take a Year 3-4 team to finals in Kerikeri. Remember, a packed lunch, drink and warm clothes.

We are looking for coaches for weekend Hockey at Lindvart Park Turf.  We have 3 divisions: Y0-2 - 5-6 years old, Y3-4 - 7-8 years old, Y5-6 - 9-11 years old.

We would like to have a team for each grade if possible. Perhaps parents could buddy up with someone to help coach a team. No knowledge of Hockey is needed as you can learn along the way. We will only have teams entered if we have the coaches. If you are interested or have any questions please see Whaea Kelli or Whaea Lydia. Alternatively leave a message at office.

Please send in all permission slips for those who are interested in playing Saturday hockey next term. There is a website for parents/players kidzsportz.co and that you can also search for the Bay of Islands Hockey Facebook page to have a direct link to all of hockey questions.

Weetbix Tryathlon
This event will take place on Sunday April 10th. Those children who are interested have been practicing already for this event. Your child may come home with a permission slip that needs to be returned immediately please so we can get organised. We are looking for parent help on this day to make it easier for carting bikes out to the event which will be in Waitangi in front of Te Ti Marae. If you are able to help with this event by way of transport or, caged trailer please leave a message at the office for Whaea Kelli or Whaea Lydia.

Please make sure all permission slips are back by Friday at latest. We will have triathlon practice every day so please send your child with togs every day! No togs, no Tryathlon. Extra practice at home is encouraged e.g. a run, bike ride or beach swim.

Remember, our triathletes will take a bus to Paihia for a practice on Wednesday 6th April.

Room 17 to Open

Due to the influx of 5 year olds, it is likely that in Term 2 we will be opening another Year 1 class in Room 17.  Until the end of the term we have employed Crystal Harris as a Teacher Aide in Room 2. There may be about 8 children who are currently in Room 2 that will be moved to Room 17 gradually at the beginning of the term.  Whānau of these children will be contacted by Whaea Becs.

We are looking for anyone keen to take junior and senior netball on a Saturday next term. Teaming up with a buddy might help.  Please contact the school office if you are interested.
