Reports will be coming home with children today in sealed envelopes. If whanau would like a face-to-face meeting with their child’s teacher before or after the report is sent home please do not hesitate to make contact with the appropriate teacher.

If your child only started school this term no written report will be provided.

Please accept our apologies in advance if you find any errors that have been overlooked in your child’s report and do not hesitate to come and let us know if there are any errors so we can fix them. While we make every effort to ensure they are correct at times we do get it wrong.

New 5 Year Olds 2016

We are keen to enrol any children who will be turning 5 over the next few months.  Please either give us a call, text 0508 Kaikohe or come into the school office.  It is helpful if you have your child’s birth certificate and before school check when enrolling but we can do most of the enrolment without this.

Christmas Grotto

The Kaikohe Community Arts Council has prepared a Grotto at 81 Broadway for children to visit.  Many of our classes provided the Grotto with a Christmas tree they made.

Classes will be visiting the Grotto to see the wonderful work of The Arts Council and to see Santa this week at various times during school.

The new Teen Parent Unit will be up and running from Term 1 next year.  Our brand new premises will be purpose built and includes 3 teaching spaces as well as office/administration area.  We will be situated straight across the road from the Kowhai Corner Childcare Centre on Purdy Street (back of Kaikohe East School).  The new buildings will be ready in May and in the meantime we will work out of temporary premises.
