·       Up until 2012 there was no significant difference between boys’ and girls’ attendance however over the past 2 years a gap of 3-4% has emerged. It might not be significant but we will keep an eye on the gap.

Attendance by room

·       Term 1 attendance has improved a little over the past three years. If we look at absence rates rather than attendance, the improvement has been more significant moving down from 20% to 14%.

·       Up until last year we followed the national trend whereby classes with the higher attendance figures were in years 5 – 6 and the lower figures in the junior school. This trend has been reversed recently with a higher attendance in the juniors (rooms 1 – 6 and Manawanui) that first emerged last year continuing. We hope this is a good sign of things to come.

·       In previous two years attendance in the bi-lingual unit Te Korowai o te Aroha was3 or 4% above the rest of the school but this term it is equal to the school’s average at 86.4%
