Term 3 2014 attendance report

Attendance rate per half day

80.9278 %

17864 / 22074

246 Pupils

·       Attendance rate is down on term 2 which was 83.44% The difference of around 3% equates to 662 half day absences.

·       The third term is traditionally the lowest however in term 3 2013 the attendance rate was 84.0% and in term 3 2012 it was 83.3% so this year is even a little down on previous third terms.

·       For children who have been enrolled for most of the year we have 30 who have attendance rates of over 95%. For children who have been enrolled for most of the year we have 32 who have attended only 75% or less.

·       There is no significant difference in attendance between girls and boys nor between Maori pupils and non-Maori.

·       As usual, attendance tends to improve as children get older so the year level of a class does make a difference to the class’s attendance rate.

·       TKOTA class’s attendance at 82.2% was marginally higher than the rest of the school but at 1.3% the difference is hardly significant.
