Matters Arising

·       Is the Combined Boards survey to still come out?

·       Suggest that some training distinguishing the difference between management and governance be given to the board so members have a better understanding.

·       Encourage BOT members to continue reading correspondence around National Standards to keep up to date and informed.

·       Breakfast in schools investigated but there concerns over having the extra people needed to run it in the mornings. Extra adults needed to supervise.

Teacher Registration

o      Kaz explained new process for police vetting non-teaching staff members. Process has been implemented and should all be updated by the end of next week.

2011 Budget

That the 2011 Budget is adopted.

o      Chicky explained how teachers will now be in ‘curriculum teams’. A group of people will be involved in how spending for learning resources occurs in consultation with the whole school team rather than separate syndicates.
